One. Two. Three. Thank you Ivan! Family Photography Portland, Oregon

This was the second time I had the opportunity to photogaph this family. I’ll have to use their last photos as another excuse to do a blog post 🙂 Someday….when I’m all caught up. (is anyone out there actually caught up?).

Anyway.

Mr. Man was not at all into having his pictures taken. NOT. AT. ALL. If you know me you know that my favorite sessions are with those kids who make you really work for it. Do you know why? Because they push you as a photographer technically and they push your abilities to work with people from behind your camera. This guy helped me create some new tricks when it comes to talking with children and really allowing them to be “ready” to have their picture taken.

Now…I go on and on about him pushing me when really the thanks should go to Ivan. We found Ivan hopping in the grass just before we were about to give up. He has a Russian accent (thanks to dad) and saved the session so we could get a few pictures with Grandma and Grandpa.

All in all…..a good day.

Pictures are GREAT!! You must be a fabulous photographer to be able to get a child look so natural if he was a little cranky that day!!
